8-OH-HHC – an exciting, newly discovered cannabinoid with a lot of potential! Its full name is 8-Hydroxy-Hexahydrocannabinol and it is extracted from hemp. Like HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), it belongs to the family of psychoactive cannabinoids, but differs in its specific chemical structure and effects. 8-OH-HHC interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, in particular with the CB1 and CB2 receptors. Although research is still in its infancy, initial feedback suggests that 8-OH-HHC can produce a gentle, calming effect – often described as clearer and less intense than classic THC.
